About
Creating from what has already been, to open a new form of presence.
Founded by Arthur Boulanger and Arthur Millès, Arthur Arthur is a young Marseille-based publisher of exceptional pieces. This duo of designer-craftsmen conceives and produces furniture in unique pieces or small series from their workshop.
Setting forms and materials in dialogue, their work is grounded in the selection of reclaimed wood, chosen for its history and condition, which they rework to give it new purpose, a new presence ; between past and future.

Material as a starting point
It begins with a shared attention to materials, forgotten objects, and things that have already lived. The duo has an instinctive eye for discarded wood and overlooked fragments, often ignored, but which they see as starting points.
Behind each recovered piece lies an invisible density: a history, a patina, marks of memory. Observing that materials still carrying value are discarded in a context of mass-produced standardised furniture, they choose to make these their raw material. A choice that feels like a creative inevitability rather than a constraint.
Wood sits at the heart of their practice today, while other materials like stainless steel, glass and stone are gradually enriching their research, opening new dialogues of texture, finish and time.
Their work is as much about revealing as it is about making: bringing latent beauty to light, extending what already exists, and transforming without erasing. This approach calls for a conception that is attentive to the existing, able to absorb the unexpected and the singularities of the material.
Each piece becomes a space for experimentation, a balance between control and letting go. The result embraces a form of considered imperfection, where traces and irregularities remain visible. Unique, living pieces that own their history and their rough edges.
