Terms of sale

Last updated: 14 April 2026

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the "GTC") govern all sales made on the website www.arthurarthur.fr (hereinafter the "Website"), operated by:

Arthur Arthur

Legal form: Sole trader (micro-enterprise) Legal representative: Arthur Millès Location: Marseille, France Registration number: 849 923 354 Email: contact@arthurarthur.fr

By placing an order on the Website, the customer acknowledges having read and unconditionally accepted these GTC.

Article 1 – Purpose

These GTC define the respective rights and obligations of Arthur Arthur and any individual or legal entity (hereinafter the "Customer") making a purchase of products offered for sale on the Website.

The products sold are primarily decorative objects and small furniture pieces in reclaimed solid wood, handcrafted in France (hereinafter the "Products").

Article 2 – Pricing

Product prices are quoted in euros (€).

Arthur Arthur operates under the VAT exemption scheme for small businesses. Accordingly, VAT is not applicable, in accordance with Article 293 B of the French Tax Code (CGI).

Displayed prices do not include delivery costs, which are indicated separately at the time of ordering.

Arthur Arthur reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, while guaranteeing that the price applicable at the time the order is confirmed will be honoured.

Article 3 – Products

Products are described and photographed with the greatest care.

Given the handcrafted nature of our pieces and the materials used (reclaimed solid wood), each item may display slight variations in appearance, colour, grain, or dimensions. These characteristics are not defects but form part of the identity of each piece.

In the event of a manifest error in a Product's description or price, Arthur Arthur reserves the right to cancel the relevant order and notify the Customer accordingly.

Article 4 – Orders

Customers may place orders through the Website by following the checkout process (adding to cart, order summary, contact details, payment).

Before final confirmation, a summary allows the Customer to review the details of their order and the total price. It is the Customer's responsibility to correct any errors before confirming.

An order is considered final only after:

  • payment has been validated by the payment provider, and
  • a confirmation email has been sent to the Customer.

Arthur Arthur reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of an existing dispute with the Customer, suspected fraud, or a payment issue.

Products are intended for personal use and not for professional resale.

Article 5 – Payment

Payment is made online at the time of ordering, via the payment solutions available on the Website, including:

  • Bank cards via Shopify Payments (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • Shop Pay
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay

The Customer warrants that they hold the necessary authorisations to use their chosen payment method.

The order is charged once payment has been validated. If payment is declined by the Customer's bank, the order is automatically cancelled.

Article 6 – Delivery

Article 7 – Right of Withdrawal and Returns

In accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has a period of 14 days from receipt of their order to exercise their right of withdrawal, without needing to provide a reason.

Before returning any item, the Customer must contact Arthur Arthur at contact@arthurarthur.fr, providing:

  • their order number,
  • the Product(s) concerned,
  • a photograph of the item and its packaging.

Products must be returned:

  • in perfect condition,
  • unused,
  • adequately protected for transit,
  • within a reasonable time following acceptance of the return.

Unless the return is due to a confirmed defect or a fulfilment error attributable to Arthur Arthur, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer.

Article 8 – Refunds

Upon receipt of the returned Product and verification of its condition, Arthur Arthur will process a refund for the relevant Product(s) — excluding the original delivery costs (unless the return is due to a defect or fulfilment error) — within a maximum of 7 business days.

The refund will be issued via the same payment method used at the time of purchase, unless the Customer expressly agrees to an alternative arrangement.

Article 9 – Statutory Guarantees

Products sold are covered by:

  • the statutory guarantee of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code),
  • the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).

In the event of a non-conforming Product or one presenting a hidden defect, the Customer is invited to contact Arthur Arthur as soon as possible at contact@arthurarthur.fr, attaching photographs and a detailed description of the issue.

Arthur Arthur will propose an appropriate remedy (replacement, repair, partial or full refund, depending on the situation and the nature of the Product).

Article 10 – Personal Data

Personal data collected in the context of orders is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the Website.

The Customer has the right to access, rectify, object to, and request the deletion of their personal data, under the conditions provided by law, by writing to: contact@arthurarthur.fr.

As certain processing operations are carried out by Shopify in its capacity as hosting provider and e-commerce platform, data may be transferred outside the European Union as part of the platform's operation.

Article 11 – Intellectual Property

All creations, designs, texts, photographs, graphics, logos, and content present on the Website are the exclusive property of Arthur Arthur or its partners, and are protected by French and international intellectual property laws.

Any unauthorised reproduction, representation, distribution, or exploitation of any element of the Website or the Products is strictly prohibited.

Article 12 – Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These GTC are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought as a first step. Failing an amicable resolution, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts within the jurisdiction of Marseille, subject to any mandatory rules of jurisdiction applicable to consumers.

The Customer is also informed that they may refer the matter to a consumer mediation service.

Article 13 – Amendments to the GTC

Arthur Arthur reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time.

The GTC applicable to any given order are those in force on the date the order is placed.
